Yes, there is a weird, fishy smell when you open the package which I was aware of due to the online ed. You rinse in a colander for a number of minutesand then you panfry it dry for a number of minutes. So they've apparently got a patent on "konjac oat noodles", shirataki made with 48% oat fiber so it's still zero carb/zero cal. I held my breath and braved their crappy order form to get a case out of curiosity. Well I am really delighted, the noodles taste much better than regular shirataki.
